Meg Weaver, APRN, FNP-C opened Lawton Women’s Clinic to provide a safe and inclusive space for patients to receive sexual health care. She is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She holds a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from the University of Simmons in Boston and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from the University of Oklahoma.

She brings experience as an FNP in primary care and sexual health after many years of work as a registered nurse in numerous areas including ICU, outpatient surgery, pain management, and inpatient psych. After an internship in HIV prevention and management, and 2SLGBTQ+ health, Meg began working as a nurse practitioner at Planned Parenthood Great Plains where she gained the knowledge and expertise that she now brings to Edmond Women’s Clinic & Lawton Women's Clinic.

Meg has undergone additional training in the practice of pelvic floor therapy in an effort to improve patients' quality of life and allow them to regain function when suffering from conditions such as chronic pelvic pain, pelvic organ prolapse, urinary incontinence, and other conditions affecting the pelvic floor.

Meg’s ability to make patients feel heard and acknowledged - as well as her down-to-earth personality - makes her a sought-after clinician in an area of health care that often provokes anxiety in patients.

Meg has a daughter, Mia; a cat, Kitty; and a dog, Mattie. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, gardening, cooking, practicing yoga, and hiking. She spends time daily working toward Spanish language fluency.

Meet Your Clinician

"Meg did my exam and was professional and thorough. I felt safe talking with her and answering questions. She did not make me feel judged when I was anxious and had a hard time recalling my last gyno appointment and test results. She explained things clearly and did the exam as quickly as she could. I appreciate her not telling me to 'stay calm' during the pap smear. I think we all try to stay as calm as possible, but those exams are just uncomfortable. She got me through it and I felt respected throughout."
